2017 is the fifth year of the Australian Stock Horse series of coins. The Australian Stock Horse silver proof shown here has been plated with gold in specific areas by the Mint. It weighs 5 troy oz and the mintage limit was set at just a mere 500 pieces to be distributed worldwide.

Big Bold Design

The reverse displays the stock horse design, which actually includes 5 different horses rather than just 1. Each one has been plated with 24 karat gold and looks great against the silver proof background. This side also shows "P5" privy mark for the 5th year of the series.

The obverse features a detailed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, this version is the work of Ian Rank-Broadley.

GEM Proof Condition

This coin has not been graded or encapsulated by a third-party grading service. It is new and in GEM Proof condition. That means when you receive this coin, it will look like it just came from the Mint.

"Exceptional Design Details"

The reverse features the combined artistry of Donna Weaver and Don Everhart, depicting a magnificent snowy egret perched on a branch preparing to take flight above the island's salt marshes. Inscribed "CUMBERLAND ISLAND," "GEORGIA," "2018" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."


John Flanagan's iconic left facing image of George Washington sculpted in 1932 is centered on the obverse. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "QUARTER DOLLAR," along with Philadelphia's "P" Mint mark.Perfect Specimen 70, includes First Strike Flag Label with John Mercanti Signature.
