Struck in 2017 at the Royal British Mint, this release of the Silver Britannia marks the 20th anniversary of the highly popular and sought-after silver bullion series. The coin makes an appealing purchase to both stackers and collectors as it features the British icon of Britannia with the high precious metal content of 1 Troy oz. of .999 pure silver.
The reverse features the work of Philip Nathan and his contemporary depiction of the iconic British personification, Britannia. The reverse also commemorates the series' 20th anniversary in the form of a special Trident Privy Mark. Created by British Mint Engraver Jody Clark the obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. When this coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation it received the perfect grade of Proof 70. The coin has been designated among Early Releases, indicating that the grading service received the coin within the first thirty days of release. For dramatically sharp contrast between the textured and mirrored surfaces, this proof also earned the certification Ultra Cameo (UC).
