This beautiful silver medal was released to honor the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge in China, which is one of the world's largest suspension bridges. This proof medal weighs 30 grams and is made of .999 fine silver. Like other commemoratives, mintage of this medal was limited.
On the obverse China's national emblem is displayed. Their national emblem includes 5 stars above Tianamen Gate. The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge design can be found on the reverse. This design shows the bridge as it would appear if you were on it and looking up. This 2018 China Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Opening Commemorative Silver Medal was submitted to NGC within 30 days of the series being released from the mint. Thus, giving this coin the special designation of First Release. Once at NGC it was also awarded the grade of Proof 70, the highest grade attainable.
