The proof silver kangaroo series has been produced by the Perth Mint since 1993, featuring an annually changing image of the magnificent creature native to Australia. This 2018 release is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver with exceptional high relief details, its mintage limited to only 10,000 proofs.
On the reverse is a pair of kangaroos, appearing to leap out of the Australian landscape background.
Sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley's crowned image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is located on the obverse.
When this coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation it received the perfect grade of Proof 70. The coin has been designated among First Releases, indicating that the grading service received the coin within the first thirty days of release. For dramatically sharp contrast between the textured and mirrored surfaces, this proof also earned the certification Ultra Cameo (UC).
