Why order GEM Brilliant Uncirculated 2019 Australia Silver Wedge-Tailed Eagle Coins?
The Perth Mint issued the first Silver Wedge Tailed Eagle in 2014, and it immediately became a favorite among collectors. The series marked the first ever collaboration of a US Mint engraver with a foreign mint, and the results have been astounding. In 2019, the coin not only bears a new reverse design but also a new obverse, adding yet another level of intrigue. Part of a mintage of just 50,000 pieces, this coin was struck from one ounce of .9999 fine silver. Stunning modern designs: On the reverse an eagle swoops down toward its prey against a dynamic background that enhances the representation of motion. The eagle has its wings spread and its talons forward, suggesting that it is just about to snatch up its next meal. The coin's new obverse design has already appeared on British coinage prior to 2019. Now, it will appear on Australian issues. The new design, which is the creation of Jody Clark, depicts Queen Elizabeth II in right-side profile wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem. That is the same crown that she wore at her coronation. She also dons earrings and a necklace, and her shoulders are open to the holder. GEM Brilliant Uncirculated Condition This coin has not been graded or encapsulated by a third-party grading service. It is in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition, which is the same condition it was in when it left the Mint.
