VERY LOW MINTAGE OF ONLY 20,000 WORLDWIDE!
Many are familiar with this coin because the Gold Krugerrand is the oldest of the modern bullion coins. The Silver Krugerrand was introduced just a few years ago.
The design on the reverse shows a springbok. This species of antelope is the national animal of South Africa. A detailed landscape can be seen behind it.
Paul Kruger, the first President of South Africa, is depicted on the obverse in fine detail. His hair and beard are full of details in this portrait.
This 2019 South Africa Silver Krugerrand was submitted to NGC within 30 days of the series being released from the mint. Thus, giving this coin the special designation of First Release. Once at NGC it was also awarded the grade of Proof 70, the highest grade attainable. The Ultra Cameo (UC) designation was given for its superb visual contrast.
